Sophomore Julian Johnson, who is starring in the play “Kabuki Lady Macbeth,” is from Shelbyville. Julian came to Panola College on a theater scholarship.

Julian currently enjoys playing music during his spare time. He developed his interest in music when he was at a younger age, and then even later performed in a rock band. Julian being in a band for 6 years has given him more experience and increased his passion for music. He played bass and was a backup singer in the band. He also has experience playing other musical instruments.

When asked about what inspired him toward music he answered, “Just one day a friend asked me to play and from the first moment, it was like bonk.”

His music passion surpasses his love for theater. Although, he prefers to not take music courses but just have it as a hobby. However, music is more personal to him from a family point of view. His love of music goes wherever he travels and music follows.
