Four Panola College baseball players were selected to play in the TX/NM Juco Baseball All Star game on September 28-29 in Abilene.

“These players were selected by other coaches in Region 14 East and got to play among some of the best players in the Junior College ranks,” said Todd Shelton, Head Baseball Coach.

Two Pitchers were selected (Trey Lindsay and Michael Soisson) and two position players (Mateo Beltran and Chris Collet).

“The Ponies played well and Chris Collet belted a breaking ball to deep left to cap off the Ponies’ great weekend,” Shelton added.

Panola College Baseball is back in action Friday through Sunday, Oct. 4-6 at the University of Texas in Tyler, playing in the Region 14 East fall conference tournament. The Ponies will face Navarro at 10 a.m., and Tyler Junior College at 1 p.m. on Friday. The Ponies will have a rematch with Navarro at 1 p.m. on Sunday, followed by a game against Paris Junior College at 6 p.m. Sunday.
