Singers in the Panola College Chorale, Chamber Singers and Panola Pipers performed in concert at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17 in the Q.M. Martin Auditorium. Under the direction of Sandra Bauer, the singers were accompanied by Ginger Cook.

The Chorale opened the concert with “The Secret,” followed by “Ave Verum Corpus.” For the next number, “In Remembrance,” Dakota Brown made a guest appearance as a horn soloist.

The Chamber Singers took the stage next with “Ubi Caritas.” The Chorale rejoined the Chamber Singers for “I’ll Make The Difference,” featuring soloists Nichole Painter and Ahmad Casel, which earned a standing ovation from the audience.

The Panola Pipers wrapped up the concert with two songs: “Get on Your Feet,” featuring a duet by Hunter Moon and Sydnee Taylor, and “Listen to the Music.”

Running the lights was Kassandra Escobar, and running the sound was Dwaine Hubbard, band director.

Mark your calendars for more music when the Panola College Band plays in concert at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26. The Panola Pipers will perform in a special Halloween Show in the Frances B. Ross Ballroom at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 30.
