Panola Presents the 5th Annual Veterans’ Day Dinner

Panola College honors all U.S. Veterans.

On Thursday Nov. 9, 2017, the Annual Veterans’ Day Dinner will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Frances B. Ross Ballroom at Panola College.

It will be a festive evening honoring local veterans for their service to our country. The event features a free dinner open to any East Texas service member and one guest. There will be music, a guest speaker and recognition of the oldest and youngest veterans.

The collaborators for this event are the Green Jackets from Panola College, who serve the College and community as goodwill ambassadors, and the Panola College Student Government Association.

The Green Jackets and SGA, along with area individuals, organizations and businesses are sponsoring the event. Individuals who wish to honor a particular veteran may purchase a Flag of Honor for $30. The 3×5-foot flag will be mounted on a 6 ft. pole and placed along Bird Drive from November 3-17. The flags will have signs with the veterans’ names, branch of service, and personal messages from the donors.

Reservations are required and may be made by contacting Amy Calhoun via email at [email protected] or call 903-693-1165, or Brian Naples, email [email protected] or call 903-693-2043.
