Panola College music students attended a Dallas Symphony Orchestra concert at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019.  The trip was made possible by a grant from the Panola College Foundation.

The annual Dallas Symphony Christmas Pops Concert featured the Dallas Symphony Orchestra conducted by Lawrence Loh; Reginald Smith, Jr. as soloist and narrator; Bradley Hunter Welch on organ; Dallas Symphony Chorus, directed by Joshua Habermann; and the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas, directed by Cynthia Nott and Terrie Preskitt-Brown.

“It is inspiring to watch musicians get together and do what they are passionate about,” said Loren Caserta.  “I hope to one day be a part of something this great!”

Kacia Johnson said, “The performance was astounding.  The harp soloist was remarkable and the soloist’s voice resonated within me.”

“This was one of the best times I have ever had!” said Maggie Sims, “I am glad I got to experience something so amazing!”
