Panola College registration for May Term, Summer I, Summer II, and Fall courses opens Wednesday, April 8.

Panola College registration for May Term, Summer I, Summer II, and Fall courses opens at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8. May Term, Summer I, and Summer II courses will be offered exclusively online via Canvas. Fall courses will be available online and face-to-face.

Panola College students are required to speak with an academic advisor before being cleared to register for courses. Due to COVID-19, students are currently being advised over the phone or through email. Call 903-693-2038, 903-693-2048, or email [email protected] to set up an appointment.

May Term begins May 11 and ends May 29, Summer I begins June 1 and ends July 2, Summer II begins July 6 and ends Aug. 6, and Fall begins Aug. 19 and ends Dec. 8.

New students must complete the Apply Texas application online from the homepage of the Panola College website. Class schedules for May, summer and fall semesters are also available as links from the website.

The May term offers students an opportunity to complete one college course in about three weeks. Students are allowed to sign up for only one class during this term because of the compressed time frame. Students may sign up for two classes in Summer I and Summer II.

“COVID-19 disrupted the spring semester all over the country, so we hope to help students stay on track this summer. University students who came home after spring break may want to pick up some credit hours here at Panola College before returning to their universities this fall. We are here to help,” said Jeremy Dorman, Registrar.

Tuition and fees at Panola College are 40 percent less than public universities and 80 percent less than private universities. Public universities must designate as core complete any student transferring from Panola College with an associate degree.

New students should also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm. Students should type in the Panola College code of 003600 to ensure that their financial aid information is submitted correctly, according to Denise Welch, Financial Aid director. For more information about financial aid, call 903-693-2035. “I would encourage all students to fill out the FAFSA at least one time. You never know what you might qualify for,” Welch said.
