On Thursday, Mar. 12, the Panola College Band will present its first concert of the spring semester. The Chamber Music Concert will feature the students of the Panola College band in small ensembles and in a much more intimate setting. The Percussion Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, Low Brass Ensemble, Saxophone Ensemble, and the Chamber Winds will be performing. The music performed will range from Mexican folk songs, to Ragtime, contemporary wind band music, and lighthearted percussion music on unusual instruments.
The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Murphy Payne Community Room of the Panola College M.P. Baker Library. This event is open to the public with admission being free of charge.
