Genevieve Thiers will be featured in a video broadcast at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10 in the Frances B. Ross Ballroom A of the Panola College Student Center. The Panola College Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success is hosting the presentation.
Thiers will discuss the importance of following your passion and developing skills in multiple areas. The founder of Sittercity.com, she is an investor, entrepreneur and opera singer who has been featured on the Today Show, Ellen, The View and the CBS Early Show.
“All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend,” said Corey Johnson, Environmental and Biology Professor, and NSLS faculty advisor. “Genevieve will discuss how she combined her voice with her business savvy to thrive. This broadcast should be especially helpful to fine arts students who are interested in capitalizing on their trade. Business students looking to go into talent management should also gain insight from this presentation.”
The interactive broadcast includes an opportunity for audience members to ask questions. Johnson said he will provide a gift card to the first Panola student, faculty or staff who has a question (Tweet or video) answered during the live broadcast.
