The Panola College History Club hosted “Meet the Presidents,” featuring Dr. Charles Taylor on Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the Frances B. Ross Ballroom of the Charles C. Matthews Foundation Student Center.

Dr. Taylor has taught history and political science at East Texas Baptist University, LeTourneau University, Panola College and Kilgore College. He was recognized as the outstanding professor at ETBU. While at Panola College, he taught government and history, and chaired the social science division that included government, history, economics, psychology and sociology.

“We had a very high turnout for this presentation,” said Bill Offer, Panola College history professor and faculty sponsor for the Panola College History Club. “We had 211 students, staff and community members attend the presentation. The program was also live-streamed and 433 people viewed the live-stream. So in total, 644 people saw this event. That’s a record audience for the History Club.”
