On Monday, Oct. 2, the History Club held its second meeting of the semester to discuss the field trips for the fall. The Club’s members decided to go to Dallas on Saturday, Nov. 11. The contemplated destinations in the city are The Dallas Holocaust Museum, the Sixth Floor Museum, and possibly the Dallas World Aquarium. Others outside the Club can go but have to pay for their own tickets. Transportation will be free.

In order to raise money for the trip, the Club will have a car wash on Saturday, Oct. 21, location to be announced later. Anybody willing to help is very welcomed.

On Friday Nov. 10 from 2-3 p.m., Will Geiser, adjunct professor in the History Department, will give a speech on “The history of the United States Supreme Court.” It will be very interesting to hear and analyze, according to Elyse Hanna, club president. Professor Bill Offer’s History classes will get extra credit for attending.

The next Club meeting will be Monday, Oct. 23 in the Miller Administration Building, and everyone is welcome. There will be food, a historic movie, great people, and lots of fun, according to Hanna.
