If one of your New Year’s Resolutions for 2018 is to get stronger and healthier, Panola College fitness classes are for you! Through the co-enrollment registration process, non-students may sign up for Panola College classes. Workforce & Continuing Education handles the registration and fees at the department’s new location in the W.C. Smith Building across West Panola.

Classes offered include walking, yoga, aerial yoga, pilates, Zumba fitness, kickboxing, spin, weight training, body conditioning, boot camp, co-ed basketball, barre above, indoor soccer, and horsemanship. In addition, courses are offered in CPR training, personal and community health, and first aid.

The aerial yoga instructors offer two levels, one of which is designed to focus on strength and stretching for lower-loop non-inversion moves.

To check out the complete schedule, log into the Panola College website, on the right under “Quick Links” click on “Register for Spring,” select Spring 2018 in the left panel, then scroll to Kinesiology (KINE), and click “Display Courses.” Classes are offered throughout the day and early evening. Some are available at Marshall locations, which will be indicated with MCC.

Panola College fitness instructors are trained professionals who will help establish a routine that fits the needs of the co-enrollment participants in the class. Facilities on the Carthage campus include a weight room with free weights and machines, a yoga room, and a practice gymnasium with basketball courts.
