A 19-10 run in the third quarter proved to be the difference in the Fillies 66-56 win over the Coastal Bend Cougars. Panola was able to survive the Cougars’ game long comebacks behind defensive stops and scoring in key possessions.

The Fillies had four players in double figures, led by Maryia Adashchyk with 16. Rounding out the scoring for the Fillies was Alicja Falkowska, Daryna Barcharova and Nyidier Riak with 12, 11 and 10 respectively.  Adashcyk, Riak and Falkowska also lead the team in rebounding with 12, 8 and 6.

On the defensive end, the Fillies recorded 15 steals, with Weronika Nowakowska and Mikayla Etienne each collecting a team high of 4.

The Fillies (8-7, 4-1 in conference) return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at home against Tyler Junior College at 7 p.m.
