“Here comes the judge…” Oh, no. That’s Dr. Greg Powell, College President, attired in the robes and wig. Speaking of wigs, Don Clinton, Vice President of Student Services, dressed as a fairy princess, sprinkled pixie dust wherever he went. The Prairie Woman, Vice President of Instruction Dr. Bubba Adams, couldn’t seem to round up Bessie the Cow, Mike Edens, Human Resources director. Bessie kept losing the “Got Milk” sign off the costume. The Mad Scientist, Troy Caserta, was on the lookout for the cosmetology department students for a much-needed hair appointment.

All in all, the 2017 Fall Frolic was a big success. The line formed early for the $5 Tent Sale at the College Store, and for the free barbecue sandwich lunch served by Sodexo. Clubs and organizations sponsored activities, and other off-campus organizations had information booths and tables.

“Wow, what a day!” said Jody Harris, Student Activities Coordinator. “Another Fall Frolic is in the books. Our club sponsors deserve credit for everything that they do in working with our students and setting up booths. I think at least one professor is still duct-taped to the sidewalk out there.”

Fall Frolic and Spring Fling, held during the academic year, provide a mid-semester break for students, faculty and staff. As Harris said, “It’s a time-honored tradition at Panola College.”
