Below is a list of COVID-19 (coronavirus) resources available in our communities. The list includes details related to internet access, food needs, unemployment benefits, and COVID-19 questions.
AT&T Reduced Cost Internet Service for SNAP Recipients
The Access program from AT&T provides a low-cost option for home Internet access to low-income households in the 21 states where we offer wireline home Internet services.
Spectrum is offering special discounts to households affected by COVID-19. The company is offering free access to internet and WiFi for 60 days for new Pre-K to 12, college student, and teacher households who do not currently have internet or WiFi service. The discount will be applied as a credit to the first two months of service. Any installation or pre-payment fees will be waived.
Fidelity Communications is offering a 15 Mbps internet plan for $10 per month for the next 60 days to help low income families and those most impacted by COVID-19, such as seniors and college students. No documentation is required to sign up for this plan.
Free Wi-Fi hotspots are available in their local office parking lots in Marshall. The company is also working to open additional Wi-Fi hotspots in other public areas in the future.
Internet Essentials from Comcast:
Internet Essentials from Comcast offers affordable internet services at home for eligible households. Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, new Internet Essentials customers will receive two free months of internet service.

Nearest parking spaces to the south side of the Library.
Nearest parking spaces to the south side of Phillips Hall.
Nearest parking spaces to the east side of Buchanan Hall.
Nearest parking spaces to the east side of O’Neal Hall.
On the sidewalk on the north side of the Health and Natural Sciences building.
Near the west entrance to the Gullette building (there should be a picnic table by the door).
Outdoor classroom between Gullette building and Health and Natural Sciences building.
Marshall Campus (MCC):
Nearest parking spaces to the back (west) entrance to the Panola MCC site.
Center Campus (SRTC):
Nearest parking spaces to the Coke machine on the north side of the SRTC.
Spectrum Free Internet Assistance by Charter Communication:
Charter Communications will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll, call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.
Sprint and T-Mobile are allowing existing customers unlimited smartphone data and an additional 20GB of tethering and hotspot data for the next 60 days.
Several local businesses are posting Wi-Fi passwords on their doors for use within the parking area. Please check with your area businesses.
Feed the Need – Panola College
Feed the Need comfort closet program provided through donations to Panola College for active Panola College students and employees who may be experiencing basic living insecurities.
Items may be requested by filling out the form at panola.edu/feedtheneed
Remains open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. If you have a cell phone, call from the car with your name, address and number of people in your household. Food will be brought to your vehicle. If you do not have a cell phone, come in and tell us your info and return to your car.

Independent School Districts
Most local school districts are offering any community member under the age of 18 the options of grab and go meals throughout the duration of their closures. Please refer to your local school districts website and/or social media page for more information.
Texas Workforce Commission:
If your employment has been affected by COVID-19, you can apply for benefits either online at any time or by calling TWC’s Tele-Center at 800-939-6631 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT Monday through Friday.
DSHS Call Center:
Texas Department of State Health Services has a dedicated call center to answer your COVID-19 related questions or concerns. To find more information about COVID-19, please visit the CDC or DSHS websites or call 1-877-570-9779 Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
