The newly formed Panola College Collegiate FFA Chapter will meet at 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31 in the Murphy-Payne Community Room of the M.P. Baker Library. Meetings will follow every other week at the same time and place. During February, the group will meet on the 14th and the 28th.

According to adviser Jody Harris, students do not have to be majoring in agriculture to join the chapter. Plans for this semester include providing members opportunities to connect with local industry leaders, earn their American FFA Degrees, help recruit new ag majors for the college, volunteer to help with local ag and FFA events, and attend conventions and local industry tours.

“We recently received our charter from the National FFA organization and invite all interested students to attend Wednesday’s meeting,” Harris said. For more information email Harris at [email protected]
