Entertainer Bryan Anthony and his band performed before a packed house in the Q.M. Martin Auditorium on Tuesday, April 5. Presented by the B.F. and Mary Payne Fund for the Preservation of Texas Culture, the Bryan Anthony Band paid tribute to the American Songbook, classic musical numbers from the 1940’s and 1950’s Big Band Era.

Anthony has performed around the world and regularly performs with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, the Gene Krupa Orchestra, and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Performing with Anthony at this event were Ken Ward on piano, Bill Murry on bass, and Ben Atkinson on drums.

“Bryan Anthony’s performance to the packed house at Q.M. Martin Auditorium was well received,” said Dr. Greg Powell, Panola College President. “Panola College appreciates the generous support of Mr. and Mrs. Murphy, which allows us to bring high quality performances to our community each year.”
