Panola College Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program purchased a MaxiSlide system for their program with grant money from the Panola College Foundation. The MaxiSlide is a sliding system that may perform a wide range of resident handling, simply and safely. It is applicable in many patient handling situations and can be used to help improve the quality of care for the patient. Sitting up, moving them up the bed, helping them sit on the edge of the bed and turning them from one side to the other, these kinds of tasks can all be carried out easily and with minimum stress.  This enhancement will allow students the benefit of new technology available in patient care.
