Runners, lace your shoes. The Panola SGA is hosting a 5k marathon to raise money for the Panola Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships for current and potential Panola students.
To prepare for the run, iPhone users can download Couch 2 5K, a free app that can transform any couch potato to a marathon runner in 9 weeks time. The app begins the transformation by introducing 30 minute workout sessions using a mixture of brisk walking and jogging, and as the user progresses through the app, a “personal trainer” incrementally increases run times.
