Government, History class to feature extensive field trip in May

Stating on April 8, students can begin enrolling for Brian Naple’s online Texas Government class or Curtis Odom’s online Texas History class. The classes will start May 13 and end May 31. Both classes include a five-day field trip (May 20-25) to several popular and exciting attractions in Texas. The cost of the class includes tuition, fees, and an additional $400. Students taking the courses will receive 3 hours of credit for government OR 3 hours of history credit. The course numbers for the classes are GOVT-2306 and HIST-2301. The trip itinerary includes the Battle Ship Texas, Sam Houston Museum/ Prison Museum, State Capitol, Bob Bullock Museum, Inner Space Caverns, Texas Rangers Museum, Federal Bureau of Engraving, and the Sixth Flood Museum. Registration for the class will end April 30.
