Fillies face Angelina in Region Tourney

Wednesday, March 6, at 3 p.m. the Panola Fillies Basketball Team will compete against Angelina College in the Region XIV Tourney. All games will be held at the Patriot Center on the UT Tyler Campus.
Panola is seeded in fifth place. If the Fillies win against Angelina (the fourth place seed), they will play in the semi-final round at 1 p.m. on Friday. Their opponent will be either Trinity Valley Community College or Tyler Junior College. TVCC is the first place seed and Tyler is eighth.
The Regional Final game will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Teams in the region are seeded as follows: TVCC, #1 with a 16-0 record; Blinn, #2 with 14-2; Jacksonville, #3, with 9-7; Angelina, #4 with 9-7. Three teams have 6-10 records — Panola, #5, Kilgore, #6, and Paris, #7. Tyler holds the #8 spot with a 4-12 record.
